Default Direct X 9x (Dec 05) Released

Microsoft has released DX9c, Dec 05
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

If you just re-installed your OS or you want to make sure Direct X files are not causing you problems, you may want to grab this.

Contains the Feb, Apr, June, Aug, Oct, and the new Dec "Manged" DX Code.

"Manged" DX code is typically used by the most recent games that add some stuff that was not in DX9 before. Installing manged code does not alter any games running normal code. It's there in case a game designed the manged code calls upon it.

Now as far as I know, GW does not used any DX manged code.

Don't think I've ever updated my DX9c. Still using the copy from last year when I first installed it.

Hasn't made any difference that I can see to GW.

Will probably get to updating it in a million years...kidding.

I stick to one rule with MS. IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT! I won't touch the new DX unless I really need to.

Yea same here, it's bad enough that half the stuff that MS claims to fix adds a nice bunch of bugs, and makes problems worse leading to another patch. However I might have to update on this old pc since the card "works" better with updated files.
